In the month of June 2021, 188 houses were sold in Cornwall, a new record. This new sales record was an increase of 16.8% over June 2020. From January to June, the total number of houses sold was 1000. And this is still an increase of 61% since 2020 June. On a five-year and 10-year average, the home sales increased by 14.6% and 19.6%, respectively.
About the New Record
Cornwall set yet another record in June 2021. People have continued to buy more homes since last summer. And the reasons for this vary, including the improving economic times. When it comes to new listings, the number has increased by 43.4% since June 2020. Two hundred thirty-eight new residential listings were recorded the same month - a historical record in over five years. Active new residential units were 215 by the end of June, a decrease of 14.3%.
